Start your diagnostic application. If no diagnostic tool application has been installed on your PC before, a dialog box will be displayed when you start the application for the first time. In the dialog box, enter the distribution center/impo rter number and the dealer number. Information on how to obtain these numbers is provided in the documentation that came with your diagnostic application.
If you have changed the PIN of the VAS 5054A, you are prompted to enter the new PIN in the application PC. Type in the new PIN and confirm your entry.
The firmware is loaded into the VAS 5054A. This will take about a minute when you start the application for the first time. The next time, your VAS 5054A will be available in a few seconds.

Access via Bluetooth: After a connection to the VAS 5054A has been set up, the Bluetooth software provides a virtual serial COM port (Bluetooth Serial Port Profile). The Diagnostic Base System uses this COM port to communicate with the VAS 5054A.You need to specify this port when you install the diagnostic application.
After loading the VAS 5054A firmware, the startup screen of your diagnostic application is displayed.
